Day 1: Your fave book
The Deathly Hallows for sure. For this one was my favorite for a couple reasons.
1. This one made me cry the most out of any of the books in the whole series. All of my emotional attachment to the characters and the connectivity I felt with them was just overwhelming.
2. The plot is stunning! Absolutely perfect and intricate and mind blowing.
3. The story of Lily and Severus. UGH. Gets me every time.
4. Ron and Hermione get together! <3 Even though I do ship Dramione :D
5. The final battle was probably the most intense, well written, concise story of a war between good a evil I have ever read. I felt as if I was standing in the middle of the great hall, wand in hand, fighting with Dumbledor’s Army, determined to win, heartbroken when I looked over to see my classmates falling.
6. Just all of it. I loved everything about that book.
7. I also loved this book because I grew up with Harry. These books were my first real chapter books as a kid and the entire year I was eleven I waited by my mailbox everyday in hopes that I would get that letter, or any letter of acceptance into a magical school! I felt the same angst toward my family sometimes, I had two best friends I could rely on, I had enemies too. I now realize as an adult all of the things that Harry taught me as I grew up. And the biggest thing he taught me was this:
Every person has potential to do great things. To be magical and special in their own unique way either for good, bad, self gain, for love, or knowledge. He taught me to value my family, to push past the terrible things that happened to me as I grew up, the keep on dreaming and believing, to value my friends, keep my head up when I was being criticized or told “you can’t”. Harry Potter, Ronald Weasley, Hermione Granger, and every other character in the book taught me that I can be strong, push foreword, and accomplish great things.
